Blood Brothers Play Preview
Blood Brothers The Play makes it’s way to the Forum this month with Premier Theatrical Productions presentation of Willy Russell’s musical.
Blood Brothers has received a cult following throughout the world and continues to draw the crowds across the globe from Broadway to Australia. It was also one of the longest running musical productions in the West End having played more than 10,000 performances over 24 years, receiving numerous awards.
Set in Liverpool in the 1960s, it follows the heartbreaking story of twins Eddie and Micky who are separated at birth when their mum could not afford to care for them both. Her situation forces her to give Eddie away to her wealthy boss, Mrs Lyons, who is unable to bear her own children. This leads the brothers to grow up on either end of the social class divide but as circumstance draws them back towards each other, when they eventually meet and instantly become friends. Pricking their fingers, they swear that they will always be Blood Brothers, unaware of their true past and how tragically their future will play out.
The show has everything, comedy, drama and love. A must see this month at the Millennium Forum.
