PREVIEW: Christy Moore with the Mairtin O’Connor Band
Christy Moore needs no introduction. Having been a household name for many years, and known for his passionate vocals and stage presence, Christy Moore is undoubtedly one of Ireland’s greatest folk icons.
Having been no stranger to our city over the years, Moore returns once more, this time accompanied by the Mairtin O’Connor Band. O’Connor himself is one of the most respected and best loved musicians ever to emerge from Ireland, he is known to be one of the main musical forces behind the legendary Riverdance, through his work with De Dannan, Midnight Well and Skylark.
The passion Moore shows, whether it be performing on his own in the centre of a stage accompanied only with a bodhrán, or surrounded by a band, still remains undiminished and spine tingling.
Christy Moore will be performing with the Mairtin O’Connor Band at the Millennium Forum on Friday, 19th June to Saturday, 20th June at 8pm with tickets priced at £36.
