FUND IT: Echo Hunt - New commission for Echo Echo International Festival of Dance and Movement
With the third International Festival of Dance and Movement due to take place this November, the Echo Echo Dance Theatre Company have asked for your help to fund an exciting new commission by Oona Doherty.
ECHO HUNT will be a collaboration between locally based Choreographer Oona Doherty; Film Artist Michael Barwise; and Dance/Movement Artists Janie Doherty, Kelly Quigley and Zoe Ramsey of the Echo Echo Ensemble.
Oona describes the piece as: “A modern northern Greek Chorus. Inspired by the works of Francis Bacon’s “Triptych” and Samuel Beckett’s “Not I and Man Ray”.
The audience will be transported in to the dark of noise. Of the deep velvety black of the subconscious, where the nervous system shouts out.”
To bring “ECHO HUNT” to life as part of DOCNITE, Echo Echo Dance Theatre need some additional funding to cover modest Performers and Collaborators Fees. They are very excited about this piece, and with your help they can bring this beautiful beast from the depths of the imagination into reality!
